Mohammad, and his six year old son, Karim, joined us for a half day, afternoon, fishing trip on Lake George. The lakers were chasing, but not aggressively like they were in the morning. They had a blast trying to lure in one of these dinosaurs of the deep. Karim put on a perch clinic, as they didn’t stand a chance with his hook set. It was a pleasure guiding this duo on The Queen!

Abram celebrated his 13th birthday today, with his mom, Erika, as they joined us for their first ever ice fishing trip.

The pickerel in North-South Lake were on a feeding frenzy, as they caught them on tip-ups and jigging rods.

We taught them how to use our Humminbird Helix 7 fish finder paired with the Aqua-Vu underwater camera. They were able to observe a pickerel slam their jig tipped with a minnow! It was thrilling for them to see this action unfold with the camera.

Flags were flying, and pickerel were coming up through the hard water holes all day long! The trip ended on a high note as well, with Abram doubling up on the tip-ups and Erika catching one jigging, with all of this unfolding simultaneously!

For Abram, only being 13, he has a wealth of fishing knowledge well beyond his years. He’s an avid freshwater and saltwater angler. For his first time ice fishing, he was more of a seasoned veteran than a rookie. What awesome parents he has gifting him a guided fishing trip for his birthday! What a joy to have our friends, Colleen and Dave, join us again for an ice fishing adventure! These two outdoor enthusiast are loyal customers who’ve ventured out with us for years in the woods and on the water.

Jack and Karen joined us for a half day ice fishing adventure on North-South Lake in the Catskills, and what an adventure it was! This brave couple persevered through harsh fishing conditions. The wind was a constant 40 mph making it roughly -20 F with the wind chill. The pickerel didn’t mind the weather, as they were popping flags and coming up through the hole.
